Theme: ‘Post COVID 19: Prospects of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) in the New Decade’

Abstract: “The 21st century has seen a geometric leap in the progress of integrated marketing communications (IMC) globally. This phenomenon is engendered significantly by the advances in technology (especially mobile). Today’s capabilities are advanced and sophisticated, making traditional domains of media relations, brand storytelling, prospecting and lead generation far more complex than with past methods and practices. For instance, traditional public relations has since embraced the dynamics of the online space. Indeed, new rules of engagement are being set for brands and brand owners.

Also, practitioners are compelled to consider the contemporary interactions among brands, consumers and their environment geared towards ensuring the desired competitive advantage.

Interestingly, the dynamics within this space seem to be electrifying. The COVID 19 pandemic has propelled new forms of human engagements such as the use of virtual meetings and webinars. In the light of the foregoing, it is imperative to consider the prospects of IMC in the new decade”.
