Born in 1953, Engr. Martha K Onyeajuwa, FNSE, holds a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from University of Nigeria, Nsukka; MSc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos; Certificate in Teletraffic Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Scotland and an Executive MBA from International Graduate School of Management, University of Navarra, Spain. Martha has had an extensive career in telecommunication working both as Network Operator and as a Regulator. She was Director of Standards and later Director Traffic and Network Optimization at Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Prior to that she worked for many years in NITEL where she rose to the post of Deputy General Manager. Martha is a member of the Study Group 2 Telecommunication Standardization bureau of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and had served as consultant on various ITU projects in Africa. She is the Vice President of Nigerian National Committee of IEC and a Certified Regulation Specialist by the Water Engineering and Development Centre, Loughborough University and the Institute of Public Private Partnership (IP3) USA. Martha is a Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers, Fellow Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Fellow Telecommunication Executive Management Institute of Canada and Member Third World Organization of Women in Science. Martha joined the School of Media and Communications in 2011 and teaches Research Methodology.
