Dr. Chike Mgbeadichie is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria, where he teaches Cultural Analysis and Critical Thinking. He holds a PhD in English from the University of Exeter, UK; an MA in Literature in English from the University of Leeds, UK; and a First Class BA degree in English from Anambra State University, Nigeria. His principal research interests are in African Literature; Media and Cultural Studies; African Critical Theory; Media-in-African Literature; Migration Discourses; and a subsidiary research interest in films. He is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Literary Society of Nigeria (LSN), Igbo Studies Association (ISA), African Literature Association (ALA), etc. He has recently served as a reviewer for a special issue of the Journal of African Media Studies on the Corona Pandemic, Culture and the Media. His articles have appeared in African Research Reviews; Journal of Contemporary Literature; Research in African Literatures etc., as well as a chapter in an edited book published by Oxford University Press. He has a book on Afrocentrism awaiting publication.
