About the Camp

The Summer Camp programme is aimed to increase the research opportunities of undergraduate students, who are committed to pursue career paths in media and communication studies. Furthermore, the Summer Camp programme provides media and communication undergraduates with research experience, which will help to increase their competencies to complete their research projects and gain admission in prestigious graduate schools. Equally important, this programme offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media production such as documentaries, short films and infomercials.

This camp will match theory with practice in media research and production. Some of the areas of focus are:

1. Project writing fundamentals for mini-research and research projects
2. Quantitative analysis for media research
3. Qualitative Data and Content Analysis
4. Production project fundamentals
5. Using production equipment (Camera, lightening, props)
6. Scripting and screening for documentaries,
7. short film and infomercial
