Dr. Chike Mgbeadichie

Senior Lecturer and HOD of Communication, Media and Cultural Studies

Chike Mgbeadichie is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Communication, Media and Cultural Studies at the Pan-Atlantic University, where he teaches critical thinking and cultural analysis. He holds a PhD in English from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom (2015), an MA in African Literature from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, (2011) and a First-Class BA degree in English from Anambra State University, Nigeria (2008). His research interests cut across critical thinking, African & African American literatures, migration studies, political humanities, media and cultural studies. His articles have appeared in a couple of highly rated journals such as Research in African Literatures, Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction, Journal of Communication Inquiry, Ikenga, etc. He has contributed chapters in some book projects published by Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan, amongst others. Chike is the Future Creative Leaders Academy Lecturer of the Year, 2022 and a resource person for the UN-IOM and ILO. He serves as the Chief Judge at Nigeria Info’s foremost students’ radio debate, “I Beg To Differ”. Chike acts as reviewer for top publishers and journals such as Palgrave Macmillan, Routledge, Bloomsbury Academic, Research in African Literatures, Human Arenas, Journal of African Languages and Literature, etc.
