Afomachukwu Igbedion is the Administrator of the Nollywood Studies Centre at the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University. In her role, she supports the Centre’s operations, helping to bridge academic scholarship with Nigeria’s dynamic film industry.
She is deeply involved in coordinating activities that reflect the School’s commitment to research, industry engagement, and capacity building. By ensuring the Centre runs efficiently and remains responsive to both students and stakeholders, Afomachukwu contributes meaningfully to SMC’s broader goals.
She holds a Master of Science in Media and Communication from Pan Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Bowen University. She is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Her passion for storytelling and organisation is evident in her work on student film projects, including her service as secretary of the organising committee for the Pan Atlantic University Student Film Festival.
Afomachukwu enjoys watching movies and sewing. Her attention to detail and appreciation for narrative flow both inform her administrative style and enhance her creative side.
