SKOT’S Edafe Onoriode Delivers Compelling Lecture to Year 1 Mass Communication students

Mrs. Edafe Onoriode, the Communication Director at SKOT, gave a compelling lecture on May 16, 2025, to year one Mass Communication students at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University.

In discussing the dynamic scope and nature of communication in public relations, Mrs. Onoriode approached the lecture with a focus on intentionality, adaptability, and the knowledge of narrative communication in providing quality services to high or notable clients. She provided valuable lessons from the span of her career that students can hold onto in remaining authentic and grounded while navigating communication challenges in a fast-paced world.

In her words, “Communication is more than corporate PR, it encompasses content creation, project management, event coordination, and even crisis communication.” Stressing further, she reminded them that “It is a field that is characterized by continuous learning, creativity, and flexibility.” Mrs.

Onoriode encouraged students to develop a clear direction, hold self- development highly, and be teachable – not following the crowd, mindlessly.
