The Centre for Media and Communication (CMCR) with the support of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited Foundation (NNPC Foundation), will host a national symposium on energy and sustainable environmental communication at the Pan-Atlantic University-Main Campus on the 22 and 23 of May 2025.  

The event will bring together journalists, civil society organizations (CSOs) members, and researchers to provide theoretical and practical frameworks that will aid in the understanding of the role of effective communication in addressing energy and environmental sustainability challenges in Nigeria. It will facilitate discussions and develop practicable solutions to these issues. Importantly, the core objective of this event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7.1, which seeks to “ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.”
