The Undergraduate Orientation

The Undergraduate Orientation

179 new SMC undergraduate students participated in the 3-day orientation programme for the 2024/2025 academic session that held from the 3rd to 5th of October, 2024.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Enase Okonedo, gave the welcome address. This was followed by speeches delivered by other key officials of the university including the Registrar, Mr. Kingsley Ukaoha, the Director of Student Affairs, Mrs. Anne Osezua, and the Dean of SMC, Dr Ikechukwu Obiaya. Other activities that occurred during the orientation included an introduction of the students to the university’s history, policies, mission, and vision, student registration, ID card photoshoots, hostel orientation, and guidance and counseling registration.
The event concluded with a cocktail that allowed the new students to mingle with staff of the university.
