The Professional Education Department organized a 3-day seminar on Community Relations and Corporate Profitability that was held on the main campus from the 7th to 9th of October 2024.
Facilitated by Dr. Aifuwa Edosomwan, the seminar aimed to explore corporate citizenship, community relations as a communication strategy, and provide executive training on evolving community engagement practices. Eight participants attended the seminar.
Still on Professional Education, The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) recently concluded a highly successful Media Writing and Public Speaking Skills Course for its Communication and Public Affairs Department. The week-long training, held from the 2nd to the 9th of October 2024, took place across Abuja and Nasarawa. The course was facilitated by professionals such as Chief Isaac-Ogugua Ezechukwu, Associate Professor Silk Ogbu, Barrister Tomi Vincent, and industry expert Mr. Ikeddy Isiguzo, and it saw active participation from NDIC staff. Thirty participants attended the Media Writing Skills course, while sixteen enrolled in the Public Speaking Skills course. The participants also expressed great satisfaction with the program’s content and facilitation, commending its relevance and delivery.
