The Executive Media Leadership Programme (EMLP) for managers of media organizations will be a strategic rallying point for industry executives to incubate ideas not only for moving their individual organizations forward in the desired directions, but also spur the entire industry to benefit from the resultant reinvigoration and increased productivity.
The Executive Media Leadership Programme (EMLP) is created as a strategic step to shore up leadership skills in the media industry. Like so many other industries, the media and communications industry also experiences tough operating challenges occasioned by dwindling performance of world economies and the liberalization/proliferation of communication infrastructure that permits virtually every individual to broadcast and publicize his own messages to the wider world. The industry is not immune to these challenges. But the job of company leaders is to envision and see beyond current challenges. The program will lay strong emphasis on best corporate governance principles and policy formulation, innovation and creativity, execution skills, problem solving skills, business development strategies, as well as people and brand management skills.
