SECOND YEAR STUDENT, OLIVIA EZEH, WINS 2023 GREEN STORIES WRITING COMPETITION

Congratulations to Olivia Ezeh a second-year student of the Department of Mass Media and Writing at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, who was selected as the winner of the 2023 Green Stories Writing Competition.

This competition, hosted by the University of Southampton aims to encourage creativity in addressing climate change through storytelling. It was led by Professor Denise Baden, a Professor in Sustainable Business, along with the assistance of Carole Burns, Head of Creative Writing, and Dr. Aiysha Jahan, a published writer with a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Southampton.

Her winning entry was a short story titled, ‘Your Neighbourhood Teenage Heroes’ which showcased superheroes with extraordinary powers dedicated to combating climate change and promoting sustainability.
The competition is focused on using creativity as a tool to inspire green behaviour and raise awareness about the essential transformations needed for a sustainable economy.
